אָרוּר הַיּוֹם אֲשֶׁר יֻלַּדְתִּי בּוֹ יוֹם אֲשֶׁר־יְלָדַתְנִי אִמִּי אַל־יְהִי בָרֽוּךְ׃
Cursed be the day on which I was born: let not the day on which my mother bore me be blessed.

אָרוּר הָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר בִּשַּׂר אֶת־אָבִי לֵאמֹר יֻֽלַּד־לְךָ בֵּן זָכָר שַׂמֵּחַ שִׂמְּחָֽהוּ׃
Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born to thee; making him very glad.

שמח. מ"ם דגושה שהוא ל' תשמח אחרים ששמח את אביו בבשורתו:
וְהָיָה הָאִישׁ הַהוּא כֶּעָרִים אֲשֶׁר־הָפַךְ יְהֹוָה וְלֹא נִחָם וְשָׁמַע זְעָקָה בַּבֹּקֶר וּתְרוּעָה בְּעֵת צׇהֳרָֽיִם׃

כערים אשר הפך. סדום ועמורה:
ולא נחם. משגזר עליהם חורבן לא חשב מחשבה אחרת לבטל גזרתו:
אֲשֶׁר לֹא־מוֹתְתַנִי מֵרָחֶם וַתְּהִי־לִי אִמִּי קִבְרִי וְרַחְמָהֿ הֲרַת עוֹלָֽם׃
