וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵיהֶם {פ}
כֹּה־אָמַר יְהֹוָה צְבָאוֹת אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל שְׁתוּ וְשִׁכְרוּ וּקְיוּ וְנִפְלוּ וְלֹא תָקוּמוּ מִפְּנֵי הַחֶרֶב אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי שֹׁלֵחַ בֵּינֵיכֶֽם׃
Therefore thou shalt say to them, Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Yisra᾽el; Drink, and be drunk, and vomit, and fail, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.

וְהָיָה כִּי יְמָאֲנוּ לָקַחַת־הַכּוֹס מִיָּדְךָ לִשְׁתּוֹת וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵיהֶם כֹּה אָמַר יְהֹוָה צְבָאוֹת שָׁתוֹ תִשְׁתּֽוּ׃
And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thy hand to drink, then shalt thou say to them, Thus says the Lord of hosts; You shall certainly drink.

For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should you go utterly unpunished? you shall not go unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, says the Lord of hosts.

וְאַתָּה תִּנָּבֵא אֲלֵיהֶם אֵת כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵיהֶם יְהֹוָה מִמָּרוֹם יִשְׁאָג וּמִמְּעוֹן קׇדְשׁוֹ יִתֵּן קוֹלוֹ שָׁאֹג יִשְׁאַג עַל־נָוֵהוּ הֵידָד כְּדֹרְכִים יַעֲנֶה אֶל כׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵי הָאָֽרֶץ׃
Therefore prophesy against them all these words, and say to them, The Lord shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar because of his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

על נוהו. מתאבל על חורבן ביתו:
הידד. ל' הוי שצועקין עושי מלאכה כבדה בקול רם לזרז זה את זה להתחזק ודורכי גתות רגילין בה:
יענה. כל לשון ענייה צעקת קול רם היא:
בָּא שָׁאוֹן עַד־קְצֵה הָאָרֶץ כִּי רִיב לַיהֹוָה בַּגּוֹיִם נִשְׁפָּט הוּא לְכׇל־בָּשָׂר הָרְשָׁעִים נְתָנָם לַחֶרֶב נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃ {ס}
A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the Lord has a controversy with the nations, he will enter into judgment with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, says the Lord.
