כִּי־כֹה ׀ אָמַר יְהֹוָה רׇנּוּ לְיַֽעֲקֹב שִׂמְחָה וְצַהֲלוּ בְּרֹאשׁ הַגּוֹיִם הַשְׁמִיעוּ הַֽלְלוּ וְאִמְרוּ הוֹשַׁע יְהֹוָה אֶֽת־עַמְּךָ אֵת שְׁאֵרִית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
For thus says the Lord; Sing with gladness for Ya῾aqov, and shout on the hilltops of the nations: announce, praise, and say, O Lord, save Thy people, the remnant of Yisra᾽el.

הִנְנִי מֵבִיא אוֹתָם מֵאֶרֶץ צָפוֹן וְקִבַּצְתִּים מִיַּרְכְּתֵי־אָרֶץ בָּם עִוֵּר וּפִסֵּחַ הָרָה וְיֹלֶדֶת יַחְדָּו קָהָל גָּדוֹל יָשׁוּבוּ הֵֽנָּה׃
Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the ends of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travails with child together: a great company shall return there.

בם עור ופסח. אפילו הנכשלים שבהם לא אמאס:
בִּבְכִי יָבֹאוּ וּֽבְתַחֲנוּנִים אֽוֹבִילֵם אֽוֹלִיכֵם אֶל־נַחֲלֵי מַיִם בְּדֶרֶךְ יָשָׁר לֹא יִכָּשְׁלוּ בָּהּ כִּֽי־הָיִיתִי לְיִשְׂרָאֵל לְאָב וְאֶפְרַיִם בְּכֹרִי הֽוּא׃ {פ}
They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, in which they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Yisra᾽el, and Efrayim is my firstborn.
