עֶגְלָה יְפֵה־פִיָּה מִצְרָיִם קֶרֶץ מִצָּפוֹן בָּא בָֽא׃

קולה כנחש ילך. הרי הנחש בא ללמד על מצרים ונמצא למד למדנו מכאן שכשאמר הקב"ה לנחש על גחונך תלך (בראשית ג) וקיטע את רגליו והלך קולו בסוף העולם כך שנוייה בל"ב מדות דרבי אליעזר בנו של רבי יוסי הגלילי:

וּנְתַתִּים בְּיַד מְבַקְשֵׁי נַפְשָׁם וּבְיַד נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּר מֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶל וּבְיַד־עֲבָדָיו וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵן תִּשְׁכֹּן כִּֽימֵי־קֶדֶם נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
