עַל־הֶהָרִים אֶשָּׂא בְכִי וָנֶהִי וְעַל־נְאוֹת מִדְבָּר קִינָה כִּי נִצְּתוּ מִבְּלִי־אִישׁ עֹבֵר וְלֹא שָׁמְעוּ קוֹל מִקְנֶה מֵעוֹף הַשָּׁמַיִם וְעַד־בְּהֵמָה נָדְדוּ הָלָֽכוּ׃
For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the pastures of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the sound of the cattle; both the birds of the heavens and the beasts are fled; they are gone.

ועל נאות מדבר. נוה רועים שבמדברות נאות ל' נוה וכן נאות אלהים (תהילים פ״ג:י״ג) וכן לביתך נאוה קודש (שם צג):
נצתו. לשון ציה וכן נצתה:
נדדו הלכו. סופן לילך, חמשים ושתים שנה לא עבר איש ביהודה מגלות צדקיהו עד פקודת כורש מלך פרס חמשים ושתים שנה היו ורמז לדבר ועד בהמה חשבונה בגימטריא נ"ב והחשבון מכוון במסכת מגילה:
וְנָתַתִּי אֶת־יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִם לְגַלִּים מְעוֹן תַּנִּים וְאֶת־עָרֵי יְהוּדָה אֶתֵּן שְׁמָמָה מִבְּלִי יוֹשֵֽׁב׃ {ס}
And I will make Yerushalayim heaps, a den of jackals; and I will make the cities of Yehuda desolate, without inhabitant.
