כׇּל־אֵלֶּה אַנְשֵׁי מִלְחָמָה עֹדְרֵי מַעֲרָכָה בְּלֵבָב שָׁלֵם בָּאוּ חֶבְרוֹנָה לְהַמְלִיךְ אֶת־דָּוִיד עַל־כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל וְגַם כׇּל־שֵׁרִית יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵב אֶחָד לְהַמְלִיךְ אֶת־דָּוִֽיד׃
All these men of war, ranged in battle order, came with a perfect heart to Ḥevron, to make David king over all Yisra᾽el: and all the rest also of Yisra᾽el were of one heart to make David king.

וַיִּֽהְיוּ־שָׁם עִם־דָּוִיד יָמִים שְׁלוֹשָׁה אֹכְלִים וְשׁוֹתִים כִּי־הֵכִינוּ לָהֶם אֲחֵיהֶֽם׃

Also their neighbours as far as Yissakhar and Zevulun and Naftali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, and provisions of meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep in abundance: for there was joy in Yisra᾽el.

כי שמחה בישראל. שהיה להם מלך מצליח ומשכיל:
ויהיו שם עם דוד ימים שלשה. ואל תתמה היכן לקחו כל החיל הזה כל כך אכילה ושתיה שהיה מספיק להם כי אחיהם הכינו להם מקודם לכן:
