אָסָף הָרֹאשׁ וּמִשְׁנֵהוּ זְכַרְיָה יְעִיאֵל וּשְׁמִירָמוֹת וִיחִיאֵל וּמַתִּתְיָה וֶאֱלִיאָב וּבְנָיָהוּ וְעֹבֵד אֱדֹם וִיעִיאֵל בִּכְלֵי נְבָלִים וּבְכִנֹּרוֹת וְאָסָף בַּֽמְצִלְתַּיִם מַשְׁמִֽיעַ׃
Asaf the chief, and next to him Zekharya, Ye῾i᾽el, and Shemiramot, and Yeĥi᾽el, and Mattitya, and Eli᾽av, and Benayahu, and ῾Oved-edom: and Ye῾i᾽el with lutes and with lyres; but Asaf was to sound the cymbals;

וּבְנָיָהוּ וְיַחֲזִיאֵל הַכֹּהֲנִים בַּחֲצֹצְרוֹת תָּמִיד לִפְנֵי אֲרוֹן בְּרִית־הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃

בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא אָז נָתַן דָּוִיד בָּרֹאשׁ לְהֹדוֹת לַיהֹוָה בְּיַד־אָסָף וְאֶחָֽיו׃ {פ}
Then on that day David first delivered this psalm (to thank the Lord) into the hand of Asaf and his brethren.

להודות לה' ביד אסף ואחיו. שאסף היה מתחיל הודו לה' קראו בשמו ואחרי כן כל אחיו עונים אחריו ודוגמא בעזרא (נחמיה י"א) ומתניה בן מיכא בן זבדי בן אסף ראש התהלה יהודה לתפלה, לכלי שיר הידות שמו כדכתיב בעזרא (שם י"ב) הלוים ישוע בנוי קדמיאל שרביה יהודה מתניה על הידות:
ובניהו ויחזיאל הכהנים בחצצרות תמיד. חצוצרות כלי שיר של כהנים הוא דוגמא למעלה (ט"ו) ושבניהו וגו' ובניהו ואליעזר הכהנים מחצצרים בחצוצרות:
