וְעֹבֵד אֱדֹם וַאֲחֵיהֶם שִׁשִּׁים וּשְׁמוֹנָה {ס} וְעֹבֵד אֱדֹם בֶּן־יְדִיתוּן וְחֹסָה לְשֹׁעֲרִֽים׃

ועובד אדום בן ידיתון הניח לשוערים לארון:
וְאֵת ׀ צָדוֹק הַכֹּהֵן וְאֶחָיו הַכֹּהֲנִים לִפְנֵי מִשְׁכַּן יְהֹוָה בַּבָּמָה אֲשֶׁר בְּגִבְעֽוֹן׃

ואת צדוק הכהן. היה ראש ואחיו הכהנים עמו נתן דוד לפני משכן ה' אשר בגבעון ולא עזב שום כהן עם הארון כי לא הוצרכו לעבוד עבודת זבח לקרבן:
לְֽהַעֲלוֹת עֹלוֹת לַיהֹוָה עַל־מִזְבַּח הָעֹלָה תָּמִיד לַבֹּקֶר וְלָעָרֶב וּלְכׇל־הַכָּתוּב בְּתוֹרַת יְהֹוָה אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
to offer burnt offerings to the Lord upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the Tora of the Lord, which he commanded Yisra᾽el;

ושאר הברורים. המובחרים:
אשר נקבו בשמות. אנשים גדולים קרויים בשם לשורר לפני המזבח בשעת הקרבת הקרבנות:
וְעִמָּהֶם הֵימָן וִידוּתוּן חֲצֹצְרוֹת וּמְצִלְתַּיִם לְמַשְׁמִיעִים וּכְלֵי שִׁיר הָאֱלֹהִים וּבְנֵי יְדוּתוּן לַשָּֽׁעַר׃

ובני ידותון לשער. כמו לשוערים ובשנת הארבעים למלכות בית דוד שמו אותם ראש למשוררים כדכתיב (לקמן כ"ה) לידותון בני ידותון וגו' ששה על ידי אביהם הנביא על הודות והלל לה':
