עַל־שְׂדֵה אִישׁ־עָצֵל עָבַרְתִּי וְעַל־כֶּרֶם אָדָם חֲסַר־לֵֽב׃
I went by the field of a lazy man, and by the vineyard of a man void of understanding;

וְהִנֵּה עָלָה כֻלּוֹ ׀ קִמְּשֹׂנִים כׇּסּוּ פָנָיו חֲרֻלִּים וְגֶדֶר אֲבָנָיו נֶהֱרָֽסָה׃

וגדר אבניו נהרסה. כך מי שאינו חוזר על תלמודו מתחלה משכח ראשי פרקי' וסוף מחלף דברי חכמים מזה לזה שאומר על טהור טמא ועל טמא טהור והוא מחריב את העולם:
וָאֶחֱזֶה אָנֹכִי אָשִׁית לִבִּי רָאִיתִי לָקַחְתִּי מוּסָֽר׃
