סֵעֲפִים שָׂנֵאתִי וְֽתוֹרָתְךָ אָהָֽבְתִּי׃
I hate men of vain thoughts: but Thy Tora I love.

סִתְרִי וּמָגִנִּי אָתָּה לִדְבָרְךָ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃
Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in Thy word.

סוּרוּ־מִמֶּנִּי מְרֵעִים וְאֶצְּרָה מִצְוֺת אֱלֹהָֽי׃
Depart from me, you evildoers: for I will keep commandments of my God.

סׇמְכֵנִי כְאִמְרָתְךָ וְאֶחְיֶה וְאַל־תְּבִישֵׁנִי מִשִּׂבְרִֽי׃

סְעָדֵנִי וְאִוָּשֵׁעָה וְאֶשְׁעָה בְחֻקֶּיךָ תָמִֽיד׃

ואשעה בחקיך. ואתעסק כמו ואל ישעו בדברי שקר (שמות ה׳:ט׳) ד"א ואשעה לשון ספור ושנון כדמתרג' ולשנינה ולשועין.
סָלִיתָ כׇּל־שׁוֹגִים מֵחֻקֶּיךָ כִּי־שֶׁקֶר תַּרְמִיתָֽם׃

סלית. רמסת נתתם למרמס כמו סלה כל אבירי ה' (איכה א׳:ט״ו):
סִגִים הִשְׁבַּתָּ כׇל־רִשְׁעֵי־אָרֶץ לָכֵן אָהַבְתִּי עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃

סָמַר מִפַּחְדְּךָ בְשָׂרִי וּֽמִמִּשְׁפָּטֶיךָ יָרֵֽאתִי׃ {פ}
My flesh shudders for fear of Thee; and I am afraid of Thy judgments.

סמר. כמו (איוב ד׳:ט״ו-ט״ז) תסמר שערת בשרי כאדם שעמד שערותיו הריציי"ר בלע"ז:
ומשפטיך יראתי. מפורענו' גזרותיך.
סעפים שנאתי. חושבי מחשבות און כמו (איוב כ׳:ב׳) לכן שעיפי ישיבוני, (מלכים א י״ח:כ״א) על שתי הסעיפים כשאתה קורא סעיפים הוא שם המחשבה וכשאתה קורא סעפים נופל הל' על החושבים אותם.
