Tehillim 119:41-48

119:41

וִיבֹאֻנִי חֲסָדֶךָ יְהֹוָה תְּשׁוּעָתְךָ כְּאִמְרָתֶֽךָ׃

And let Thy promises of steadfast love come to pass for me, O Lord; even Thy salvation; according to Thy word.

Rashi

ויבואני. תשועתך תבא אלי כאמרתך שהבטחתני:

119:42

וְאֶעֱנֶה חֹרְפִי דָבָר כִּֽי־בָטַחְתִּי בִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃

So shall I have wherewith to answer him who insults me: for I trust in Thy word.

119:43

וְֽאַל־תַּצֵּל מִפִּי דְבַר־אֱמֶת עַד־מְאֹד כִּי לְמִשְׁפָּטֶךָ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in Thy judgments.

Rashi

ואל תצל מפי דבר אמת. ואל תבדל מפי דבר אמת כמו ויצל אלהים את מקנה אביכן (בראשית ל"א) (מצאתי):

דבר אמת עד מאד. בכל הוראותי ובכל דיני שלא אכשל בהם:

יחלתי. קויתי:

119:44

וְאֶשְׁמְרָה תוֹרָתְךָ תָמִיד לְעוֹלָם וָעֶֽד׃

So shall I keep Thy Tora continually for ever and ever.

119:45

וְאֶתְהַלְּכָה בָרְחָבָה כִּי פִקֻּדֶיךָ דָרָֽשְׁתִּי׃

And I will walk at liberty: for I seek Thy precepts.

ואתהלכה ברחבה. בהלכה מרווחת ופושטת בישראל:

דרשתי. בקשתי:

119:46

וַאֲדַבְּרָה בְעֵדֹתֶיךָ נֶגֶד מְלָכִים וְלֹא אֵבֽוֹשׁ׃

I will also speak of Thy testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed.

119:47

וְאֶשְׁתַּעֲשַׁע בְּמִצְוֺתֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר אָהָֽבְתִּי׃

And I will delight myself in Thy commandments, which I have loved.

119:48

וְאֶשָּֽׂא־כַפַּי אֶֽל־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר אָהָבְתִּי וְאָשִׂיחָה בְחֻקֶּֽיךָ׃ {פ}

My hands also will I lift up to Thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate on Thy statutes.
