וַיְהִי דְבַר־יְהֹוָה אֵלַי לֵאמֹֽר׃
And the word of the Lord came to me saying,

בֶּן־אָדָם מָֽה־הַמָּשָׁל הַזֶּה לָכֶם עַל־אַדְמַת יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר יַֽאַרְכוּ הַיָּמִים וְאָבַד כׇּל־חָזֽוֹן׃
Son of man, what is that proverb that you have in the land of Yisra᾽el, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision fails?

יארכו הימים. ולא תבוא הפורעניות ובתוך כך יאבד החזון הרע שהנביאים נבאים לנו וישתכח וישתקע:
לָכֵן אֱמֹר אֲלֵיהֶם כֹּה־אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יֱהֹוִה הִשְׁבַּתִּי אֶת־הַמָּשָׁל הַזֶּה וְלֹֽא־יִמְשְׁלוּ אֹתוֹ עוֹד בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי אִם־דַּבֵּר אֲלֵיהֶם קָֽרְבוּ הַיָּמִים וּדְבַר כׇּל־חָזֽוֹן׃
Tell them therefore, Thus says the Lord God; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Yisra᾽el; but say to them, The days are at hand, and the word of every vision.

ימשלו. ל' משל:
כִּי לֹא יִהְיֶה עוֹד כׇּל־חֲזוֹן שָׁוְא וּמִקְסַם חָלָק בְּתוֹךְ בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Yisra᾽el.

כי לא יהיה עוד כל חזון שוא. לא יוכלו עוד נביאי השקר להבטיח אתכם שלום על שקר כי מהרה אקדים את דברי נביאי האמת לבוא:

כִּי ׀ אֲנִי יְהֹוָה אֲדַבֵּר אֵת אֲשֶׁר אֲדַבֵּר דָּבָר וְיֵעָשֶׂה לֹא תִמָּשֵׁךְ עוֹד כִּי בִימֵיכֶם בֵּית הַמֶּרִי אֲדַבֵּר דָּבָר וַעֲשִׂיתִיו נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יֱהֹוִֽה׃ {פ}
For I am the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, says the Lord God.
