וַיְהִי דְבַר־יְהֹוָה אֵלַי לֵאמֹֽר׃

בֶּן־אָדָם הִנֵּה בֵֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֹֽמְרִים הֶחָזוֹן אֲשֶׁר־הוּא חֹזֶה לְיָמִים רַבִּים וּלְעִתִּים רְחוֹקוֹת הוּא נִבָּֽא׃
Son of man, behold, they of the house of Yisra᾽el say, The vision that he sees is for many days to come, and he prophesies of times that are far off.

לָכֵן אֱמֹר אֲלֵיהֶם כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יֱהֹוִה לֹא־תִמָּשֵׁךְ עוֹד כׇּל־דְּבָרָי אֲשֶׁר אֲדַבֵּר דָּבָר וְיֵעָשֶׂה נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יֱהֹוִֽה׃ {פ}
Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God; None of my words shall be delayed any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, says the Lord God.

לימים רבים. הנבואה לא תתקיים אלא לזמן מרובה:
