לָכֵן כֹּה־אָמַר ׀ אֲדֹנָי יֱהֹוִה הִנְנִי אֶל־כִּסְּתוֹתֵיכֶנָה אֲשֶׁר אַתֵּנָה מְצֹדְדוֹת שָׁם אֶת־הַנְּפָשׁוֹת לְפֹרְחוֹת וְקָרַעְתִּי אֹתָם מֵעַל זְרוֹעֹֽתֵיכֶם וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי אֶת־הַנְּפָשׁוֹת אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם מְצֹדְדוֹת אֶת־נְפָשִׁים לְפֹרְחֹֽת׃
Therefore, thus says the Lord God; Behold, I am against your armbands, with which you hunt the souls there, whisking them off to destruction; and I will tear them from your arms, and I will let the souls go free, namely the souls that you hunt, whisking them to destruction.

ושלחתי את הנפשות. כתרגומו ואשזיב ית נפשתא דאתון מחרשן ית נפשיהן לאבדותה':
את נפשים. את אנשים להיות הנפשות פורחות:
וְקָרַעְתִּי אֶת־מִסְפְּחֹֽתֵיכֶם וְהִצַּלְתִּי אֶת־עַמִּי מִיֶּדְכֶן וְלֹא־יִהְיוּ עוֹד בְּיֶדְכֶן לִמְצוּדָה וִידַעְתֶּן כִּֽי־אֲנִי יְהֹוָֽה׃
Your headveils also I will tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and you shall know that I am the Lord.

יַעַן הַכְאוֹת לֵב־צַדִּיק שֶׁקֶר וַאֲנִי לֹא הִכְאַבְתִּיו וּלְחַזֵּק יְדֵי רָשָׁע לְבִלְתִּי־שׁוּב מִדַּרְכּוֹ הָרָע לְהַחֲיֹתֽוֹ׃

יען הכאות לב צדיק שקר. כשאתן קוסמות לו רעה הוא מצטער ולבו נכאה:
לָכֵן שָׁוְא לֹא תֶחֱזֶינָה וְקֶסֶם לֹא־תִקְסַמְנָה עוֹד וְהִצַּלְתִּי אֶת־עַמִּי מִיֶּדְכֶן וִידַעְתֶּן כִּֽי־אֲנִי יְהֹוָֽה׃

ויבוא אלי אנשים. כולם בלב אחד לרעה לכך נאמר ויבוא, ומדרש אגדה אומר על שם שהקב"ה גלה אזן הנביא תחלה הנה יבואו אליך פלוני ופלוני:
לפורחות. להיות פורחות על ידיכן לגיהנם:
