כִּי כֹה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יֱהֹוִה יַעַן מַחְאֲךָ יָד וְרַקְעֲךָ בְּרָגֶל וַתִּשְׂמַח בְּכׇל־שָֽׁאטְךָ בְּנֶפֶשׁ אֶל־אַדְמַת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
For thus says the Lord God; Because thou hast clapped thy hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the disdain of thy soul against the land of Yisra᾽el;

ורקעך. לשון מרפס:
בכל שאטך. לשון בזיון פותרין בו כמו ויבז עשו (בראשית כ״ה:ל״ד) שתרגום אונקלוס ושאט עשו ואני אומר שאט לשון שטף גולוזמנ"ט בלע"ז:
לָכֵן הִנְנִי נָטִיתִי אֶת־יָדִי עָלֶיךָ וּנְתַתִּיךָֽ (לבג) [לְבַז] לַגּוֹיִם וְהִכְרַתִּיךָ מִן־הָעַמִּים וְהַאֲבַדְתִּיךָ מִן־הָאֲרָצוֹת אַשְׁמִידְךָ וְיָדַעְתָּ כִּֽי־אֲנִי יְהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand upon thee, and I will deliver thee for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut thee off from the peoples, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.

יען מחאך יד ורקעך ברגל. לשם שמחה ואע"פ שבראש הספר (לעיל ו) אמר כן לענין אבל הכה בכפך ורקע ברגליך ואמור האח יש דברים שעושין אותם לאבל ולשמחה אבל אין עניינם שוה וכן חלילים לכלה ולמת:
