וַיְהִי דְבַר־יְהֹוָה אֵלַי לֵאמֹֽר׃

Son of man, set thy face against the children of ῾Ammon, and prophesy against them;

וְאָֽמַרְתָּ לִבְנֵי עַמּוֹן שִׁמְעוּ דְּבַר־אֲדֹנָי יֱהֹוִה כֹּה־אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יֱהֹוִה יַעַן אׇמְרֵךְ הֶאָח אֶל־מִקְדָּשִׁי כִי־נִחָל וְאֶל־אַדְמַת יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי נָשַׁמָּה וְאֶל־בֵּית יְהוּדָה כִּי הָלְכוּ בַּגּוֹלָֽה׃
and say to the children of ῾Ammon, Hear the word of the Lord God; Because thou didst say Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Yisra᾽el, when it was made desolate; and against the house of Yehuda, when they went into exile;

כי נחל. כי ננחל והיה מורשה לאחרים:
לָכֵן הִנְנִי נֹתְנָךְ לִבְנֵי־קֶדֶם לְמוֹרָשָׁה וְיִשְּׁבוּ טִירֽוֹתֵיהֶם בָּךְ וְנָתְנוּ בָךְ מִשְׁכְּנֵיהֶם הֵמָּה יֹאכְלוּ פִרְיֵךְ וְהֵמָּה יִשְׁתּוּ חֲלָבֵֽךְ׃
behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee; they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.

לבני קדם. כשדים וארם לצד מזרח הם:
וְנָתַתִּי אֶת־רַבָּה לִנְוֵה גְמַלִּים וְאֶת־בְּנֵי עַמּוֹן לְמִרְבַּץ־צֹאן וִידַעְתֶּם כִּי־אֲנִי יְהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
