כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יֱהֹוִה בְּיוֹם טַהֲרִי אֶתְכֶם מִכֹּל עֲוֺנֽוֹתֵיכֶם וְהֽוֹשַׁבְתִּי אֶת־הֶעָרִים וְנִבְנוּ הֶחֳרָבֽוֹת׃
Thus says the Lord God; On the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause the cities to be inhabited, and the wastes shall be rebuilt.

וְהָאָרֶץ הַנְּשַׁמָּה תֵּעָבֵד תַּחַת אֲשֶׁר הָיְתָה שְׁמָמָה לְעֵינֵי כׇּל־עוֹבֵֽר׃
And the desolate land shall be tilled, instead of the desolation that it was in the sight of all that passed by.

וְאָמְרוּ הָאָרֶץ הַלֵּזוּ הַנְּשַׁמָּה הָיְתָה כְּגַן־עֵדֶן וְהֶעָרִים הֶחֳרֵבוֹת וְהַֽנְשַׁמּוֹת וְהַנֶּהֱרָסוֹת בְּצוּרוֹת יָשָֽׁבוּ׃
And they shall say, This land that was blighted is become like the garden of ῾Eden; and the waste and blighted and ruined cities are fortified, and inhabited.

היתה כגן עדן. עכשיו נהפכה להיות כגן עדן:
והערים החרבות. זה ימים רבים עכשיו בצורות ישבו:
וְיָדְעוּ הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר יִֽשָּׁאֲרוּ סְבִיבֽוֹתֵיכֶם כִּי ׀ אֲנִי יְהֹוָה בָּנִיתִי הַנֶּהֱרָסוֹת נָטַעְתִּי הַנְּשַׁמָּה אֲנִי יְהֹוָה דִּבַּרְתִּי וְעָשִֽׂיתִי׃ {ס}
Then the nations that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord have rebuilt the ruined places, and have replanted that which was blighted: I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it.
