וְאַתָּה בֶן־אָדָם הִנָּבֵא אֶל־הָרֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָמַרְתָּ הָרֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל שִׁמְעוּ דְּבַר־יְהֹוָֽה׃

שמות ושאוף אתכם מסביב. שכיניכם היו משתוממים ותומהין לשתוק ולראות בסוף חורבנכם ושואפי' ותאבים ומצפים להיותכם מורשה לשארית הגוים:
ותעלו על שפת לשון. ועכשיו בחורבנכם הכל מדברים ומדובבים בכם לאמר האח הרי שממו:

וְיָדְעוּ הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר יִֽשָּׁאֲרוּ סְבִיבֽוֹתֵיכֶם כִּי ׀ אֲנִי יְהֹוָה בָּנִיתִי הַנֶּהֱרָסוֹת נָטַעְתִּי הַנְּשַׁמָּה אֲנִי יְהֹוָה דִּבַּרְתִּי וְעָשִֽׂיתִי׃ {ס}
Then the nations that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord have rebuilt the ruined places, and have replanted that which was blighted: I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it.

כְּצֹאן קׇדָשִׁים כְּצֹאן יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִם בְּמוֹעֲדֶיהָ כֵּן תִּֽהְיֶינָה הֶעָרִים הֶחֳרֵבוֹת מְלֵאוֹת צֹאן אָדָם וְיָדְעוּ כִּֽי־אֲנִי יְהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
