כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יֱהֹוִה עוֹד זֹאת אִדָּרֵשׁ לְבֵֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵל לַעֲשׂוֹת לָהֶם אַרְבֶּה אֹתָם כַּצֹּאן אָדָֽם׃
Thus says the Lord God; moreover, this request I will grant to the house of Yisra᾽el to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.

ארבה אותם. אדם כצאן לרוב:
כְּצֹאן קׇדָשִׁים כְּצֹאן יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִם בְּמוֹעֲדֶיהָ כֵּן תִּֽהְיֶינָה הֶעָרִים הֶחֳרֵבוֹת מְלֵאוֹת צֹאן אָדָם וְיָדְעוּ כִּֽי־אֲנִי יְהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
Like the flock of sacrifices, like the flock of Yerushalayim in her appointed times; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

כצאן קדשים. שהיא באה לירושלים במועדי פסחים לשון אחר כתרגומו אסגינון באינשא ואצלחינון בבעירא כלומר שלא יהיו עוונותיהם נזכרים עליהן:
אדרש לבית ישראל. אתפתה להם בתפלתם בדורשם אותי על זאת:
