נִשְׁבַּע יְהֹוָה צְבָאוֹת לֵאמֹר אִם־לֹא כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּמִּיתִי כֵּן הָיָתָה וְכַאֲשֶׁר יָעַצְתִּי הִיא תָקֽוּם׃
The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so has it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

לִשְׁבֹּר אַשּׁוּר בְּאַרְצִי וְעַל־הָרַי אֲבוּסֶנּוּ וְסָר מֵֽעֲלֵיהֶם עֻלּוֹ וְסֻבֳּלוֹ מֵעַל שִׁכְמוֹ יָסֽוּר׃
that I will break Ashshur in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

לשבור אשור בארצי. ובזאת תדע כי את אשר יעצתי אליך גם היא תקום:
לשבור אשור וגו'. מוסב על כאשר דמיתי כן היתה:
אבוסנו. אשר אמרתי לרומסו ולבוססו:
זֹאת הָעֵצָה הַיְּעוּצָה עַל־כׇּל־הָאָרֶץ וְזֹאת הַיָּד הַנְּטוּיָה עַל־כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִֽם׃
This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.

על כל הגוים. על אשור בשעתו ועל בבל בשעתה:
כִּֽי־יְהֹוָה צְבָאוֹת יָעָץ וּמִי יָפֵר וְיָדוֹ הַנְּטוּיָה וּמִי יְשִׁיבֶֽנָּה׃ {פ}
