יְהֹוָה עֻזִּי וּמָעֻזִּי וּמְנוּסִי בְּיוֹם צָרָה אֵלֶיךָ גּוֹיִם יָבֹאוּ מֵֽאַפְסֵי־אָרֶץ וְיֹאמְרוּ אַךְ־שֶׁקֶר נָחֲלוּ אֲבוֹתֵינוּ הֶבֶל וְאֵֽין־בָּם מוֹעִֽיל׃
O Lord, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, nations shall come to Thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vain idols, and things in which there is no profit.

אליך גוים יבאו. סוף האומות לשוב אליך ולעבדך שכם אחד ועמך איך עשו להם אלהים והמה לא אלהים:
מאפסי. כמו מקצה:
נחלו. ל' נחלה:
מועיל. ל' תועלת:
הֲיַעֲשֶׂה־לּוֹ אָדָם אֱלֹהִים וְהֵמָּה לֹא אֱלֹהִֽים׃
Shall a man make gods to himself, and they are no gods?

לָכֵן הִנְנִי מֽוֹדִיעָם בַּפַּעַם הַזֹּאת אוֹדִיעֵם אֶת־יָדִי וְאֶת־גְּבוּרָתִי וְיָדְעוּ כִּֽי־שְׁמִי יְהֹוָֽה׃ {ס}
Therefore, behold, I will make known to them this once, I will cause them to know my hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The Lord.
