הַעֶצֶב נִבְזֶה נָפוּץ הָאִישׁ הַזֶּה כׇּנְיָהוּ אִם־כְּלִי אֵין חֵפֶץ בּוֹ מַדּוּעַ הֽוּטְלוּ הוּא וְזַרְעוֹ וְהֻשְׁלְכוּ עַל־הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יָדָֽעוּ׃
Is this man Konyahu a despised broken vessel, an object that no one cares for? why are they cast out, he and his seed, and banished to a land which they know not?

נפוץ. נשבר כמו ככלי יוצר תנפצם (תהילים ב׳:ט׳) ואחרים הגיהו העצב כמו העצבים מעצבין את הקטן במסכ' שבת כלומר האתה נבז' ונפוץ בעיניך כעולל קטן שמעצבין אותו מילויילי"ר בלעז אין זה כדי:
הוטלו. הושלכו, ל' השלכה שאין לה תקומה כמו כי יפול לא יוטל (שם לז):
אֶרֶץ אֶרֶץ אָרֶץ שִׁמְעִי דְּבַר־יְהֹוָֽה׃

ארץ ארץ ארץ. מארצו גלה אל ארץ אחרת ואת ארץ ישראל שמעי דבר ה', ד"א ארץ ארץ ארץ, ארץ שהוא ארץ שבארצות שהיתה חשובה שבכולן, ד"א ארץ ישראל שלש ארצות היו בה יהודה ועבר הירדן והגליל:
כֹּה ׀ אָמַר יְהֹוָה כִּתְבוּ אֶת־הָאִישׁ הַזֶּה עֲרִירִי גֶּבֶר לֹא־יִצְלַח בְּיָמָיו כִּי לֹא יִצְלַח מִזַּרְעוֹ אִישׁ יֹשֵׁב עַל־כִּסֵּא דָוִד וּמֹשֵׁל עוֹד בִּיהוּדָֽה׃ {פ}
Thus says the Lord, Write this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Yehuda.
