לְקֵדָר ׀ וּֽלְמַמְלְכוֹת חָצוֹר אֲשֶׁר הִכָּה (נבוכדראצור) [נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּר] מֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶל כֹּה אָמַר יְהֹוָה קוּמוּ עֲלוּ אֶל־קֵדָר וְשׇׁדְדוּ אֶת־בְּנֵי־קֶֽדֶם׃
Concerning Qedar, and concerning the kingdoms of Ḥażor, which Nevukhadreżżar king of Bavel shall smite, thus says the Lord; Arise, go up to Qedar, and plunder the men of the east.

אׇהֳלֵיהֶם וְצֹאנָם יִקָּחוּ יְרִיעוֹתֵיהֶם וְכׇל־כְּלֵיהֶם וּגְמַלֵּיהֶם יִשְׂאוּ לָהֶם וְקָרְאוּ עֲלֵיהֶם מָגוֹר מִסָּבִֽיב׃
Their tents and their flocks shall be taken away: they shall take to themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels; and they shall cry to them, Terror on every side!

מגור. אמאשמנ"ט בלעז ל"א לשון יראה:
נֻסוּ נֻּדוּ מְאֹד הֶעְמִיקוּ לָשֶׁבֶת יֹשְׁבֵי חָצוֹר נְאֻם־יְהֹוָה כִּֽי־יָעַץ עֲלֵיכֶם נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּר מֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶל עֵצָה וְחָשַׁב (עליהם) [עֲלֵיכֶם] מַחֲשָׁבָֽה׃
Flee, get you far off, dwell in the deeps, O inhabitants of Ḥażor, says the Lord; for Nevukhadreżżar king of Bavel has taken counsel against you, and has conceived a purpose against you.

כי יעץ עליכם וגו'. ומה היא העצה קומו עלו אל גוי שליו:
קוּמֽוּ עֲלוּ אֶל־גּוֹי שְׁלֵיו יוֹשֵׁב לָבֶטַח נְאֻם־יְהֹוָה לֹא־דְלָתַיִם וְלֹֽא־בְרִיחַ לוֹ בָּדָד יִשְׁכֹּֽנוּ׃
Arise, get you up to a nation at ease, that dwells in security, says the Lord, who have neither gates nor bars, dwelling alone.

בדד ישכונו. בטח ביחידות אין צריכין להתאסף ולישב ברוב אדם שאין יראים שיבא אויב עליהם:
וְהָיוּ גְמַלֵּיהֶם לָבַז וַהֲמוֹן מִקְנֵיהֶם לְשָׁלָל וְזֵרִתִים לְכׇל־רוּחַ קְצוּצֵי פֵאָה וּמִכׇּל־עֲבָרָיו אָבִיא אֶת־אֵידָם נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃
And their camels shall be a booty, and the multitude of their cattle a spoil: and I will scatter to every wind those who have the corners of their hair cut off; and I will bring their calamity from every side says the Lord.

קצוצי פאה. מוקצים מקצה אל קצה הרוחות:
וְהָיְתָה חָצוֹר לִמְעוֹן תַּנִּים שְׁמָמָה עַד־עוֹלָם לֹא־יֵשֵׁב שָׁם אִישׁ וְלֹא־יָגוּר בָּהּ בֶּן־אָדָֽם׃ {ס}
