וַיַּרְא אֲרָם כִּי נִגְּפוּ לִפְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַֽיִּשְׁלְחוּ מַלְאָכִים וַיּוֹצִיאוּ אֶת־אֲרָם אֲשֶׁר מֵעֵבֶר הַנָּהָר וְשׁוֹפַךְ שַׂר־צְבָא הֲדַדְעֶזֶר לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃
And when Aram saw that they were put to the worse before Yisra᾽el, they sent messengers, and brought out the men of Aram who were beyond the river: and Shofakh the captain of the host of Hadad῾ezer went before them.
