He who walks uprightly shall be saved: but he who takes crooked paths shall fall suddenly.

To have respect of persons is not good: for a man will transgress for a piece of bread.

The man of evil eye is eager for wealth: he does not know that want will come upon him.
The man of evil eye is eager for wealth: he does not know that want will come upon him.
Rashi
He who rebukes a man shall find more favour afterwards than he who flatters with the tongue.
He who rebukes a man shall find more favour afterwards than he who flatters with the tongue.

Rashi
When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.

When the righteous are on the increase, the people rejoice: but when the wicked man bears rule, the people mourn.

The king by justice establishes the land: but he who exacts gifts overthrows it.
The king by justice establishes the land: but he who exacts gifts overthrows it.

A man who flatters his neighbour spreads a net for his feet.

The righteous man apprehends the cause of the poor: but the wicked man cannot grasp that knowledge.

Scornful men stir up a city into strife: but wise men turn away wrath.

The bloodthirsty hate the innocent: but the just seek his good.

A fool vents all his anger: but a wise man keeping it in subdues it.

The king who faithfully judges the poor, his throne shall be established for ever.

The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.
